Introduction. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely undermined the progress made in the fight against tuberculosis globally, with mortality rates from the disease rising for the first time in more than a decade. According to the World Health Organization, 10.6 million people worldwide fell ill with tuberculosis in 2022. Target. To determine the level of knowledge of students about tuberculosis and its prevention. To increase the level of awareness of KSMU students about specific tuberculosis prevention. Materials and methods. A search and analysis of literary sources on this topic was carried out, and a survey was conducted among medical college students. Results. The level of knowledge about the specific prevention of tuberculosis among students was determined, which showed a high level of awareness, and a sanitary bulletin on this issue was developed. Conclusions. Further development of preventive activities in the fight against tuberculosis is required. The educational activities of the nurse are of great importance. In health bulletins, posters, and memos for the population, the nurse promotes a healthy lifestyle, disease prevention, rules for preparing for diagnostic and therapeutic measures, and much more.

Since time immemorial, mankind has been plagued by various diseases: malaria, plague, cholera, tuberculosis, smallpox and many others. Entire cities were dying out under the onslaught of epidemics. People have learned to fight many diseases, and quite successfully, but tuberculosis remains undefeated to this day [1]. The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously undermined the progress made in the fight against tuberculosis at the global level: for the first time in more than a decade, mortality rates from this disease have increased [2]. It is known that the main principle of public health is the prevention of diseases. Therefore, in the fight against tuberculosis, the main attention should be paid to its prevention, as well as timely detection of tuberculosis patients and their treatment [1]. The increase in the incidence of tuberculosis among children and adolescents and the limited specificity and effectiveness of the Mantoux tuberculin test made it urgent to develop a new diagnostic test.
Diaskintest is a diagnostic preparation of a tuberculosis recombinant allergen for intradermal use, which is two interconnected antigens characteristic of virulent strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Unlike the Mantoux reaction, the result of which can be distorted by a number of reasons, such as infection with non-tuberculosis mycobacteria, an allergic reaction of the body, age, hormonal background and recent infections, Diaskintest does not give false allergic reactions and does not show a positive reaction in persons with acquired anti-tuberculosis immunity [3]. Diaskintest increases the effectiveness of tuberculosis diagnosis in children and adolescents, improves the quality of differential diagnosis of tuberculosis from other pathologies and, consequently, reduces the number of people in need of in-depth examination.Nurses who directly perform it have a special role in the prevention of tuberculosis. They have a huge responsibility for the quality of the sample and the correct interpretation of its results. An equally important part of prevention is the sanitary and hygienic education of patients conducted by nurses.
The aim of the work is to increase the awareness of students of the IFC KSMU about the specific prevention of tuberculosis.
Materials and methods of research. A survey among 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of the Department of Nursing on tuberculosis prevention.
The results of the study. 145 students took part in the survey, including 82.2% (118 people) second-year students, 16% (23 people) 3rd-year students and 1.8% (4 students) first-year students. To the question "Do you know what tuberculosis is?" 98% of the respondents answered "yes" (142 respondents), 2% of the students answered "no" (3 students), since they had not yet studied narrow disciplines. It can be concluded that tuberculosis as a clinical disease is known to young people. Students were asked about BCG vaccination, to which 71.1% replied that they had this vaccine (102 respondents), 2.2% did not have it (5 people), 26.7% did not know about the presence or absence of this vaccine (38 students). It should be noted here that the awareness of students about the prevention of tuberculosis is high. Out of 145 respondents, 93.3% of students are aware of what studies are being conducted to detect tuberculosis (135 respondents), 7 students answered "no", 3 students answered "I don't know". The majority of students (93.3%) know what Diaskintest is, 6.7% (10 people) answered "no". It follows from this that the developed memo will increase the level of informativeness of the younger generation. Among the respondents, 71.1% of students (102 people) claim to have undergone a Diaskintest, 13.3% (19 students) answered "no", and 15.6% (24 students) do not know whether they had such a procedure. When asked about the difference between the Diaskintest and the Mantoux test, 68.9% of respondents (100 respondents) replied that they were aware of the differences between these procedures, 31.1% of students (45 respondents) replied "I don't know. This question again shows the high awareness of the students. In this regard, 37.8% of respondents (54 students) would like to receive information about the Diaskintest in the form of a memo, 35.6% (51 students) They claim that they have enough information received from a healthcare professional, and 15.6% (40 students) would like to receive information in the form of a lecture on the relevant discipline.
Conclusion. Preventive work on tuberculosis is at a high level in Russia, but this does not make it possible to ignore this issue. The new generation is growing up in comfortable and high-tech conditions, therefore, to consolidate knowledge for the younger generation, I have developed a simple memo on the need for tuberculosis prevention (Appendix 1).

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Кривожих В.
