Lvov, the motivation for his choice of the profession of a doctor. To show his difficult path in achieving medical education, the main reasons and turning points in his professional activity that defined him as a remarkable military field surgeon and general surgeon, an outstanding maxillofacial surgeon, innovator, teacher, researcher and scientist. To show his achievements in medical practice, science and pedagogy. Relevance: the article reveals the continuity of generations in the medical profession, its science, pedagogy, practice, as an example for imitation, using the example of the biography of Pavel Pavlovich Lvov. The necessity of hard work for mastering the profession of a doctor is shown, an example when "beginners" in the medical profession, with their own work and talent, achieve professional heights, receive support from reputable scientists and practitioners, even in conditions of social catastrophe. The moral prestige of the medical profession is demonstrated as a guide for young people when choosing a life path. Methodology: An attempt to summarize and compare information about Professor P.P. Lvov, from the media, medical, special historical literature, the Internet and the family archive. Result: during the work on the article, confidence in the correctness of the choice of the future profession, pride in domestic medicine and its workers, the desire to justify kinship in the chosen field, confidence that the conscientious work of a doctor will always be rewarded with a good memory for many generations has increased.
