Respiratory diseases among the adult population of Russia occupy the third place after malignant neoplasms and diseases of the cardiovascular system. The structure of respiratory system diseases in the adult population of the Kursk region of the Seimas district of the city of Kursk, which corresponds to the data for the Russian Federation, has been revealed. In the first place in terms of the number of patients among the adult population of Kursk are such diseases as bronchitis, emphysema and other COPD, and their number for the entire period from 2017 to 2021 is 11 times more than pneumonia and 13 times higher than the incidence of bronchial asthma. In second place is the disease asthma. The third place is the incidence of pneumonia, which developed as a complication of COVID-19, which is why a sharp increase has been recorded since 2019..
