The treatment of patients with drug addiction has always been a very difficult task, which is primarily due to the very nature of this disease, so the work is interdisciplinary, written at the junction of a certain inextricable link between narcology and psychiatry. We analyzed the situation with drug treatment at home, based on Federal Law No. 323, which prescribes the basics of medical care. As a research part of the article, an attempt was made to assess the attitudes of medical students to the situation with drug treatment at home, to analyze their opinion in relation to such patients. Based on the conducted research, the maximum relevance of this topic is highlighted and justified at the present time. Also, special attention should be paid to the discussion at the state level of the problem of providing drug treatment at home, the revision of laws that will address this topic, the conditions for providing assistance and court decisions. This problem has been little studied and requires further research.
