Gamaleya began scientific and research activities in the field of microbiology and epidemiology in the laboratories of Russia, led the work on the rapid development of progress, created the initial experimental vaccine against tuberculosis at the All-Union Institute of Experimental Medicine, the developer of the first anti-vaccination and anti-tuberculosis drugs.</p> <p><strong>Target. </strong>Using the materials of the library fund, get acquainted with the history of the life and work of the famous scientist in the field of medicine N.F. Gamaleya.</p> <p><strong>Methods. </strong>The general scientific method of research was used in the work.</p> <p><strong>Results. </strong>N.F. Gamaleya was the scientific director of the Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, a scientific consultant to a number of institutes, and was an authority among the medical community in Russia. N.F. Gamaleya - Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion. </strong>N. F. Gamaleya conducted research and participated in major anti-epidemic measures, was an authoritative expert who made a great contribution to medical science.
