Emotional burnout syndrome is a symptomatic complex of psycho-emotional, motivational-attitude and holistic disorders that occur with prolonged exposure to various adverse professional factors [1].

The main signs of burnout are: severe exhaustion, a feeling of cynicism and detachment from work, a feeling of inefficiency and a reduction in professional achievements [2].

With the impact of severe, debilitating factors, a person can meet not only at work, but also while studying at the university, especially since at the moment a large number of students combine study with work.

At the moment, additional factors that increase the risk of burnout and depression are the coronavirus infection of 2019, quarantine restrictions, as well as socio-economic restrictions.

Another problem is the relationship between burnout syndrome and depression. Recent studies indicate a close relationship between these two phenomena: both emotional burnout can lead to the further development of depression, and depression can be a predictor of emotional burnout [3,4]. In this regard, burnout syndrome as a factor in the development of depressive disorder is of particular socioeconomic importance, since depression occupies one of the leading places in the world among all medical causes of disability and mortality among young people [5].
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>emotional burnout</kwd><kwd>depression</kwd><kwd>students</kwd><kwd>education</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>эмоциональное выгорание</kwd><kwd>депрессия</kwd><kwd>студенты</kwd><kwd>обучение</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Макарова Д.А.
