According to the World Health Organization, more than half a million women get sick every year and about 300,000 die from cervical cancer. Most often, cancer affects women of childbearing age.
Purpose: Epidemiological analysis of the incidence of cervical cancer in the female population for the period from 2009 to 2021.
To assess the awareness of the population of the Voronezh region (VO) about the etiology and prevalence of cervical cancer through an anonymous survey using a Google form.
Methods: Retrospective epidemiological analysis of cervical cancer incidence over a 13-year period. Statistical processing of anonymous survey data and materials of accounting and reporting forms using the Excel package.
Result: According to the results of a retrospective epidemiological analysis of the incidence of cervical cancer in the population of the Russian Federation and VO, a decrease in incidence rates for the analyzed period was established. On the territory of the Russian Federation until 2019, there was an increase in the incidence rate by an average of 0.45 per 100 thousand population, from 2019 to 2021. there was a decrease in the incidence rate by 12.5%.
On the territory of the VO, the incidence rate of cervical cancer is 25.5% lower than the values of the Russian Federation. From 2009 to 2011 there was a decrease in the incidence to 13.92 per 100 thousand of the population, then until 2016 there was an increase in the incidence and in 2015 the maximum rate was recorded - 20.03 per 100 thousand of the population during the study period, after the incidence decreases by 2021 (13.5 per 100 thousand population).
An anonymous survey was conducted to assess the awareness of the population of the VO about cervical cancer, the causes of occurrence and the degree of prevalence. The survey involved 100 respondents aged 18 to 71, of which the proportion of men was 13%, the proportion of women - 87%. According to the respondents, the human papillomavirus (HPV) is the causal factor in the onset of the disease, and in the structure of malignant neoplasms in women, it ranks second or third. The first cases of the disease, according to 78% of respondents, are registered at the age of 20-30. The average age of detection of CC was 36-40 years, indicated by 38% of the respondents. In the question "can men be a source of HPV infection?" 16.2% answered negatively, 33% of respondents believe that in our country there is a domestic HPV vaccine.
Conclusion: The incidence on the territory of the Russian Federation and VO for the analyzed period tends to decrease.
As a result of an anonymous survey, a good awareness of the population of VO about cervical cancer was established. Shortcomings in the knowledge of respondents about the etiology and vaccination with domestic drugs were revealed.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>cervical cancer</kwd><kwd>epidemiology</kwd><kwd>human papilloma virus</kwd><kwd>awareness</kwd><kwd>prevention</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рак шейки матки</kwd><kwd>эпидемиология</kwd><kwd>вирус папилломы человека</kwd><kwd>осведомленность</kwd><kwd>профилактика</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Sung H, Ferlay J, Siegel RL, Laversanne M, Soerjomataram I, Jemal A, Bray F.
