The problem of hypogonadism, and especially postmenopausal disorders, is relevant all over the world. Much attention is paid to the relationship between hypogonadism and pathology of other organs and systems. The study of the correlation between the values of steroid hormones in the blood serum and the state of the oral mucosa, including periodontal, proved the effect of low estrogen concentrations on the development of destructive diseases of the COPD.<br />The purpose of the study: To establish the prevalence of diseases of the SOPR among people suffering from hypogonadism and to develop measures of the effectiveness of dental care provided to these patients.<br />Materials and methods. The article uses a comparative analysis of the methodological approach to the study of the prevalence of COPD diseases among people suffering from hypogonadism<br />Results. Steroid hormones, which include sex hormones, directly and indirectly affect cell proliferation and differentiation, immunological factors and reactions, expression of genes responsible for the production of cytokines and factors of cell death.<br />Conclusion. Prevention and treatment of COPD diseases in people with hypogonadism should be directed to the use of hormone replacement therapy in both male and female individuals. In postmenopausal women, this therapy leads to the restoration of the normal concentration of circulating estrogen, therefore, to a decrease in the development of inflammatory processes in the periodontal. Unfortunately, the practice of using HRT for the correction of postmenopausal changes in Russia is very limited due to the lack of awareness of the population about the relationship between the concentration of steroid hormones and diseases of the SOPR. Only 0.2% of Russian women of menopausal age use HRT. Men need to undergo a screening examination as a timely detection of age-related androgen deficiency. Undoubtedly, the main aspect of the prevention of chronic periodontitis is the individualization of medical care in the perspective of large-scale screening.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>hypogonadism</kwd><kwd>periodontitis</kwd><kwd>gingivitis</kwd><kwd>postmenopause</kwd><kwd>periodontitis</kwd><kwd>gingivodomatitis</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>гипогонадизм</kwd><kwd>пародонт</kwd><kwd>периодонт</kwd><kwd>гингивит</kwd><kwd>постменопауза</kwd><kwd>пародонтит</kwd><kwd>гингивидоматит</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Reddy, M.S.
