Diabetes mellitus is one of the main socially significant diseases. Recently, the number of publications devoted to the problem of the development of anxiety and depressive disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus has been growing in the scientific literature.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p class="western" align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"&gt;Target. Comparison of the quality of life and psycho-emotional status of patients with diabetes mellitus with healthy people.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p class="western" align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"&gt;Materials and methods. A survey was conducted on a group of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus who were hospitalized in the endocrinology department of the Voronezh City Clinical Emergency Hospital No. 10, as well as a group of healthy individuals (students of Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Burdenko). The number of examined in each group was 29 people. The quality of life was assessed using the SF-36 questionnaire, and the psychoemotional status was assessed using the Spielberg-Khanin questionnaire (to identify anxiety disorders) and the Beck scale (to identify depressive disorders). Comparison of the results of the survey of the two groups of surveyed was made using the Mann-Whitney test. In patients with diabetes, the relationship between the severity of manifestations of anxiety and depression and the level of glycated hemoglobin and the standard deviation of blood glucose during the day was assessed (using the Spearman correlation coefficient). The relationship between the severity of disorders and gender, age, type of diabetes mellitus was also assessed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p class="western" align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"&gt;Results. Patients with diabetes on the background of modern treatment have a lower level of anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as a higher level of assessment of their mental health.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p class="western" align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"&gt;Findings.
