The problems that Valentin Feliksovich had to face during his life are still relevant, and his work has helped Russian medicine to move to a new level, especially operative surgery. Even nowadays, such works as "Essays on purulent surgery" and "Regional anesthesia" help young doctors and are considered to be the basis of some textbooks. As a result, in this work it was given a parallel between two spheres of life of this amazing man, namely his religious and medical activities.
