The rational choice of medications and the application of otorhinolaryngological procedures (catheterization and inflation of the Eustachian tube, massage of the eardrums) contribute to the suppression of bacterial inflammation and the restoration of Eustachian tube function. Aim.To study the structure of medication prescriptions used in the inpatient treatment of otitis in children for the period January-March 2024, from the perspective of current clinical guidelines and official prescribing information. Materials and Methods.An analysis was conducted of the medical records of 154 patients (children under 18 years old) who received treatment in the ENT department of a hospital in Kursk. Results.Seventeen patients were admitted with a diagnosis of "Unilateral acute purulent otitis media. Conductive hearing loss, grade 1." The largest number of children was observed in the 612 years age group (52.9%). All patients underwent Eustachian tube catheterization with the administration of dexamethasone + hyaluronidase, pneumomassage, Eustachian tube inflation, and also received turundas with ofloxacin. Among antibacterial drugs, cefotaxime was prescribed most frequently (in 64.7% of cases); loratadine predominated in the structure of antihistamine prescriptions (75%); and in the analgesic group, metamizole sodium was most common (80%). The leading pharmacotherapy regimen was mometasone furoate + levocetirizine (41.1% of all prescriptions). Conclusion.Comprehensive inpatient therapy for acute otitis media, based on clinical guidelines and official drug instructions, is necessary for successful recovery and the prevention of complications.&lt;/p&gt;
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>otitis media</kwd><kwd>children</kwd><kwd>treatment</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>отит</kwd><kwd>дети</kwd><kwd>лечение</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Отит средний острый.
