The choice of treatment strategy depends on the child's age, the severity of symptoms, and the degree of adenoid hypertrophy. Timely and competent treatment provided at the outpatient stage can prevent the development of complications and avoid surgery. If there is no effect from conservative therapy, an adenotomy is performed. Objective.To study the structure of prescriptions for medications used in the hospital setting during adenotomy in children for the period from January to March 2024, from the perspective of clinical guidelines and official prescribing information. Materials and methods.An analysis was conducted on 195 medical records of children who received treatment in the ENT department of a hospital in the city of Kursk during the period from January to March 2024. Results.A total of 74 children were admitted for adenotomy with the diagnosis "Adenoid vegetations of II-III degree. Impaired nasal breathing." The most frequently used premedication regimen was the following: atropine sulfate + diphenhydramine + etamsylate + dexamethasone (72.8%). Among analgesics, metamizole sodium predominated, used in 94.4% of cases. The most commonly used antihistamine was diphenhydramine  in 98.5% of cases. In the postoperative period, a three-component pharmacotherapy regimen was most often recommended (52.7%). Conclusion.The pharmacoepidemiological analysis of medications used during adenotomy in children demonstrated rational approaches to therapy in accordance with clinical guidelines and official prescribing information for the drugs.&lt;/p&gt;
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>adenoid hypertrophy</kwd><kwd>adenotomy</kwd><kwd>children</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>гипертрофия аденоидов</kwd><kwd>аденотомия</kwd><kwd>дети</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Гипертрофия аденоидов.
