This study highlights the role of obesity in the development and management of BA, with a focus on the use of gene-engineered therapy aimed at preventing the deterioration of disease control. Obesity leads to the accumulation of adipose tissue in the chest area, which restricts diaphragm mobility and complicates the course of asthma. Objective. To analyze the effectiveness of gene-engineered therapy in controlling BA in children with obesity. Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis of medical records of 32 patients aged 5 to 17 years treated at the pulmonology department of the VDKH VSMU named after N. N. Burdenko was conducted. The study assessed the number of comorbid patients and the relationship between disease progression and treatment with biological drugs. Results. The findings indicate that the combination of BA and obesity necessitates the use of innovative and modern treatment methods, among which gene-engineered therapy plays a significant role. This approach has demonstrated high efficacy in improving asthma control and reducing the frequency of exacerbations. Conclusion. Gene-engineered therapy is a promising treatment for BA in children with obesity, contributing to better disease control and a reduction in exacerbation rates.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>bronchial asthma</kwd><kwd>obesity</kwd><kwd>genetically engineered therapy</kwd><kwd>comorbidity</kwd><kwd>children</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>бронхиальная астма</kwd><kwd>ожирение</kwd><kwd>генно-инженерная терапия</kwd><kwd>коморбидность</kwd><kwd>дети</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Глобальная стратегия введения и профилактики астмы (GINA 2024) [Электронный ресурс] // Режим доступа: URL: https://ginasthma.org/2024-report/ (дата обращения 12.02.2025).</mixed-citation></ref><ref id="B2"><label>2.</label><mixed-citation>Бронхиальная астма.
