Thus, the necessity of recognizing and addressing hidden sources of bleeding poses new challenges to medicine. For example, the etiopathogenetic and clinical-diagnostic aspects of GIB associated with the formation of abnormal vessels are still not fully studied. One of the most well-known pathological conditions of this type is Dieulafoy's disease the presence of a large vessel of constant diameter, localized in the submucosal or subepithelial layer of a hollow organ, leading to damage to the mucosa, followed by prolapse of the vessel and the development of massive bleeding. Nevertheless, despite the apparent simplicity of the pathogenesis of hemorrhagic syndrome of this type of bleeding, unresolved questions remain related to the development of conditions preceding bleeding, namely, the pathogenesis of vascular malformation and further pathomorphological changes in both the vascular wall itself and the environment of the vessel involved in the pathological process.

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>1.
