Children, the elderly, and people with chronic illnesses are particularly vulnerable. Goal. Analysis of the effectiveness of vaccination, preventive measures and vitamin and mineral complexes in reducing the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections among risk groups. Materials and methods. A literary review of Russian scientific publications containing data on the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in vaccinated and unvaccinated patients, as well as on the effect of nutraceuticals on immunity. Results. In the course of the work, it became clear that vaccination against influenza significantly reduces the prevalence of acute respiratory viral infections, reduces the need for hospitalization and, as a result, reduces the financial burden on the healthcare system. Vitamin and mineral complexes, which contain vitamins A, E, C, selenium and zinc, play an important role in strengthening the immune system. In addition, the combination of vaccination with the use of antiviral drugs makes it possible to reduce morbidity in collective communities even more effectively. Conclusion.
