Materials and methods. An original questionnaire for high school students was developed during the study of the influence of the geopolitical situation on the psycho-emotional state of 13-17-year-olds in the Belgorod region. The sample consisted of 153 students in grades 9-11.

153 high school students were surveyed; 88 (57.5%) of them were girls and 65 (42.5%) boys: 13 years old (3.3%), 14 years old (20.3%), 15 years old (17.6%), 16 years old (30.7%), 17 years old (28.1%).

Research results: the questionnaire was offered online to 20 schools in Belgorod, of which 15 educational institutions participated in the survey.

Since the end of December 2023, Belgorod has been repeatedly subjected to massive terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and we decided to ask high school students how and why their quality of life has changed

Figure 1. "Lifestyle changes after the start of massive terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces"The reactions of high school students to the mass shelling of the Belgorod region are shown in the figure.

As can be seen in Figure 1, 97 (63%) respondents' lifestyle has changed for the worse in this geopolitical situation.

The information about their education that teenagers received came from various sources (Figure 2)

As can be seen in the figure, the largest number of children in the study group were shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their settlements/districts of the city.

Panic, fear, anxiety, excitement, indifference, and calmness were emotions that high school students had to evaluate in different situations (Fig. 3).

As can be seen in the diagram, respondents experienced more negative emotions during an air raid while on the street far from shelters: panic 13 (8.5%), fear 16 (10.5%), anxiety 30 (19.6%), excitement 49 (32%). Neutral emotions (calmness, indifference) During the alarm, dangers prevail among high school students who are at home, at school or on the street near a shelter, which is explained by their awareness of the algorithms of actions in such situations implemented at all educational levels by the government of the Belgorod region. Due to the systematic work of the Governor of the Belgorod Region and his assistants to provide public spaces with modular shelters and a centralized access control system.

Conclusions:Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the quality of life of 97 (63%) schoolchildren deteriorated after the start of massive terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Belgorod.

Active involvement in the geopolitical situation is directly related to being in populated areas that are subjected to massive shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

A low degree of negative emotions was revealed among the schoolchildren of the study group, which is explained by the high level of security measures promptly taken by the regional government. The majority (49%) do not experience emotions such as panic and fear when being shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces if they are close to shelters.

We would like to express our gratitude to Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region, Andrey Aleksandrovich Ikonnikov, Minister of Health of the Belgorod Region, and Andrey Viktorovich Milekhin, Minister of Education of the Belgorod Region.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>stress</kwd><kwd>psychoemotional reactions</kwd><kwd>adolescents</kwd><kwd>questionnaire</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>стресс</kwd><kwd>психоэмоциональные реакции</kwd><kwd>подростки</kwd><kwd>анкетирование</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

Relevance. Since December 2023, the territory of the Belgorod region has been subjected to massive terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which affects the physical and mental health of residents of all age categories. An increased level of terrorist danger has been introduced in Belgorod and the Belgorod Region, and educational institutions operate in a remote or mixed format. Schoolchildren have been living in a situation of physical threat to their own lives for a long time and are witnessing destruction and loss of life. The risk of loss of loved ones, loss of housing and material security indicates a lack of basic needs and suggests a prolonged nature of traumatic stress reactions, due to which students' learning and cognitive motivation decreases and the risks of maladaptation of students increase [1,2].The main psychological consequences of a child living in a difficult life situation that creates long-term stress are

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Панич, О.
