These events lead to massive destruction and create the need for quick and effective assistance to the victims. During disasters, people belonging to vulnerable categories of the population children, the elderly, the disabled, women, and poor families - are particularly affected. They require a special approach in providing medical, psychological and social support, as their physical and psychological capabilities are limited. But it is not always possible for specialists to be on the scene in time and provide the necessary assistance.</p> <p>Based on this premise, it becomes obvious that it is important and relevant to explore the possibilities of providing assistance to vulnerable groups of the population. The purpose of this work is to study the specifics and approaches to providing assistance to vulnerable groups in disaster situations with the prospect of developing recommendations to improve the effectiveness and adaptation of support measures to the specific needs of these categories of people.
