Posters created during these years played a significant role in shaping public opinion and motivating citizens. This article presents the results of a study of posters from the time of the Great Patriotic War from the point of view of language, revealing their lexical, stylistic and rhetorical features. Goal. To study figurative and expressive means, symbols, syntactic features of sentences that were used to create posters during the Great Patriotic War. Materials and methods. We examined posters from the time of the Second World War and analyzed the linguistic means, visual images, and context. Results. Thanks to the use of figurative and expressive means, the language of posters during the war years became a call to fight the enemy, a messenger of ideals and slogans that united the people in the fight against the enemy, setting them up for victory. Conclusion. The analysis of linguistic means, syntactic constructions and visual series makes it possible to understand the important role propaganda played.
