Hernias of the anterior abdominal wall reach 7% of all surgical diseases. The risks of developing postoperative complications after auto- or alloplasty of the hernial orifice are very high.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The goal of this study is to study the main indicators of the vital activity of rabbits with various hernioplasty techniques in order to establish possible postoperative complications in an experiment.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Materials and methods. We conducted an experimental study on 21 rabbits. Then we divided the rabbits into three groups (n=7) depending on the hernioplasty method (control group  autoplasty according to K.M. Sapezhko, 1 main group  prosthetic hernioplasty sublay preperitoneal, 2 main group  prosthetic hernioplasty IPOM). We studied the main vital signs of the animals to establish the pain symptom: body temperature, respiratory rate, and pulse before the operation, immediately after the surgery and on the 3rd day after its completion.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Results: The body temperature indicators after the operation in the study groups were approximately the same at all stages of the experiment. The respiratory rate in the control group rabbits on the third day after the operation was minimal than in the rabbits of the main groups, and the pulse was maximal. In the rabbits of the main group, the pulse indicators in the postoperative period were within the normal range.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Conclusions: During autoplasty in animals, we observed a significantly pronounced pain syndrome in the postoperative period. In rabbits that underwent IPOM plastic surgery, we often observed an adhesive process.
