Due to the fact that currently existing anticancer drugs for the treatment of malignant tumors have a number of disadvantages, the search for and development of new drugs with antitumor activity is extremely important. The scientific acticles contains information on the antitumor properties of licorice root triterpenoids - glycyrrhizic acid and its metabolite glycyrrhetic acid. The aim of this article is to study the antiproliferative properties of glycyrrhizic and glycyrrhetic acids on the HeLa, PC-3, MCF-7 human tumor cells. Antitumor activity was evaluated by the MTT test with exposure of cells with these substances for 72 hours. As a result of the study, glycyrrhetic acid showed dose-dependent growth inhibitory activity against prostate cancer and breast cancer cells in the concentration ranges of 1-100 g/ml and 0.1-100 g/ml, respectively, as well as an antiproliferative effect against a cervical adenocarcinoma cell line only at a concentration of 100 g/ml.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>glycyrrhizic acid</kwd><kwd>glycyrrhetic acid</kwd><kwd>triterpenoids</kwd><kwd>antiproliferative activity</kwd><kwd>oncology</kwd><kwd>antitumor drugs</kwd><kwd>tumor cells</kwd><kwd>HeLa</kwd><kwd>PC-3</kwd><kwd>MCF-7</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>глицирризиновая кислота</kwd><kwd>глицирретовая кислота</kwd><kwd>тритерпеноиды</kwd><kwd>антипролиферативная активность</kwd><kwd>онкология</kwd><kwd>противоопухолевые препараты</kwd><kwd>опухолевые клетки</kwd><kwd>HeLa</kwd><kwd>PC-3</kwd><kwd>MCF-7</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Вахидова, К.
