There is no generally accepted anatomic standard for comprehensive evaluation of ultrasonography findings. Objective. To determine the average values of ultrasonic parameters the thyroid gland, to carry out a comparative analysis the obtained results. To determine and verify the possibility of correlation between the peculiarities ultrasonic anatomy the organ and sex the subject. Materials and Methods. Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland 26 people was performed, the group of subjects included men and women the first period mature age. The linear parameters of the organ were determined by the method ultrasonography, the volumetric parameters were calculated on the basis linear parameters. Results. The total volume of the thyroid gland in women the first period mature age was 9.582.8 cm3, in men 12.71.3 cm3. Comparative analysis of linear and volumetric parameters showed a reliable predominance the values these parameters in men. Conclusions. A direct correlation dependence of the values linear and volumetric ultrasound parameters the thyroid gland on the sex the subject was revealed.
