In modern healthcare, the moral and ethical aspects of nursing care play a crucial role, especially when working with lonely patients. Lack of social support can negatively affect their psycho-emotional state, slowing down the recovery process. Therefore, moral support from medical personnel becomes a significant factor in successful treatment. Objective. To determine the impact of nurses moral support on the emotional state and recovery speed of surgical patients. To study the main moral and ethical aspects of nursing care and their role in creating a psychologically comfortable environment for patients. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted in the surgical department of Voronezh City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care No. 8. Patient surveys (n=50), observations of nurse-patient interactions, medical indicator analysis, and nurse interviews were used. Results. Among 85% of patients receiving moral support, emotional well-being improved. The average hospitalization period was reduced by 2-3 days. Anxiety levels decreased in 75% of patients, and 60% of nurses reported dedicating more time to moral support than their job descriptions required. Conclusion. Nurses moral support positively affects patients' emotional state and recovery.
