Objective. To study the features of recording type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Voronezh region in the pre-pandemic and pandemic periods (using three districts of the Voronezh region as an example). Materials and methods. A retrospective epidemiological analysis of data for the period from 2017 to 2022 was conducted. Results. The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Voronezh Region over the studied period showed a moderate upward trend, with the growth rate amounting to 19.6%. In the studied districts, the upward trend was pronounced: in Kalacheevsky District, prevalence increased by 29.2%, in Vorobyevsky District  by 82.5%, and in Petropavlovsky District  by 39.1. At the same time, the primary incidence rate in the Voronezh Region as a whole decreased by 14.5% from 2017 to 2022. In Kalacheevsky and Vorobyevsky Districts, a decrease in incidence was also observed, while in Petropavlovsky District, on the contrary, an increase was noted. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on primary incidence. Conclusions. In the Voronezh Region, there is an increase in the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus with a stable decrease in primary incidence.
