Abstract

Introduction. Today, in modern society, there is a tendency to reduce the number of children in the family. In this article, the main purpose of the work is to study the course of pregnancy in women of different age groups, for whom the current pregnancy was the third or more. Materials and methods. The main method was the study of medical records (birth history). Results. In this study, 64 birth histories of women aged 21 to 45 years were studied. The work examines concomitant somatic and gynecological pathologies, as well as developing complications in pregnant women. Conclusions. The majority of women are over the age of 30 and there is a certain susceptibility to the development of complications of pregnancy and childbirth

Relevance. To date, the problem of qualitative and quantitative reproduction of the population has worsened, as well as the health characteristics of mothers and their children have deteriorated [1]. Despite the improvement in the quality of medical care for expectant mothers, the incidence and complications of pregnancy and childbirth are increasing [2]. The preventive activities of the maternity service in the context of an increase in the frequency of complications of pregnancy and childbirth are becoming particularly relevant and require the search for new organizational and methodological solutions to assess the state of women's health during pregnancy [3].
Goal. To study the peculiarities of the course of pregnancy and childbirth in women of different age groups who have a third or more pregnancy.
Materials and methods.In this study, medical documentation was used, 64 birth histories of women aged 21 to 45 years were studied.
Results.The women studied had gynecological, somatic diseases, as well as complications. Gynecological pathology was detected in 46 women. Among them are erosion and ectopia of the cervix (26.0%), uterine fibroids (21.7%), postoperative scar on the uterus (15.2%), ureaplasmosis (10.8%), adnexitis, TORCH infection, candidiasis, cervical dysplasia and scar deformity of the cervix (4.3% each), colpitis and candylomatosis vulvae (2.2% each).
Among the somatic diseases, pathology of the organ of vision (17.0%), heart disease (14.7%), anemia (13.6%), varicose veins of the lower extremities (9.1%), obesity (6.8%), hypothyroidism (5.7%), ARVI (3.4%), diabetes mellitus, chronic gastritis; kidney disease (2.2% each); hemorrhoids, vegetative-vascular dystonia, Rh-negative maternal blood, breast fibroadenoma, chronic hepatitis C virus, pituitary microadenoma, autoimmune thyroiditis, hypoglycemia, coagulopathy, epilepsy, bacteriuria (1.1% each).
The structure of complications of pregnancy and childbirth on the part of women included premature rupture of fetal membranes, umbilical cord pathology (18.5% each), birth trauma (14.8%),gestational diabetes mellitus (12.9%), placenta previa (7.4%), edema of pregnant women (3.7%), polyhydramnios and gestosis of pregnant women (2.0% each), and on the fetal side – pelvic presentation and hypoxia (6.0% each), transverse presentation (1.8%).
Conclusion. Thus, this study showed that the majority of women are over the age of 30 with concomitant somatic and gynecological diseases and there is a certain susceptibility to the development of complications of pregnancy and childbirth.
