Abstract
Introduction. The topic of hygienic assessment of artificial illumination in lecture halls of N.N. Burdenko VSMU is an important part of the educational process. Illumination primarily affects the understanding, reproduction and learning of educational material. The goal. To study the level of artificial illumination of lecture halls and to determine its influence on students' health. Materials and methods. The indices of artificial illumination in lecture halls were measured with the help of luxmeter and compared with the norm indicators. A survey of 100 students of N.N. Burdenko VSMU studying at the medical, pediatric, dental and medical-preventive faculties was carried out. Results of the study. The data on the level of artificial illumination of lecture rooms of the University, on subjective characterization of illumination by students were obtained. The best lecture auditorium was named. Conclusions. The most illuminated is 501 auditorium. The least compliant is 502 auditorium - 108-178 lux with a norm of 300 lux. According to the students, the best lecture room was chosen as the Central Medical Auditorium where the illumination exceeds 300 Lx.

Introduction. Artificial lighting plays an important role in providing the necessary learning conditions for university students [1]. Adequate lighting can improve work efficiency and reduce the risk of errors. It can also contribute to the comfort and well-being of medical personnel, which in turn improves the quality of medical care provided. The norms of artificial lighting depend on the type of room and its functional purpose. For example, 300 lux illumination is recommended for office premises, and 500 lux for industrial premises. Regulations may also vary depending on local legal requirements and standards [2].
The purpose of the work. The purpose of this work is a hygienic assessment of the artificial illumination of lecture halls and the determination of its impact on the health of students.
Materials and methods of research.
The study was conducted on the basis of Voronezh State Medical University (VSMU) named after N. N. Burdenko.
The level of artificial illumination of lecture halls (CMA, 6, 501, 502 classrooms) is determined using luxmeters. They are equipped with sensors capable of measuring the level of illumination in the suites. These devices allow you to make accurate measurements and monitor the compliance of lighting standards and requirements. Measurements were carried out at different points in the audience. To evaluate the results, SanPiN 1.2.3685-21 "Hygienic standards and requirements for ensuring the safety and (or) harmlessness of environmental factors for humans" was used. A survey of 100 students of 1-2 courses of medical, pediatric, dental and preventive medicine faculties was also conducted on the subject of subjective.
The results of the study.
The most optimal lighting levels are the Central Office and the 6th auditorium (Table 1).

The illumination indicators in the 502 audience meet the requirements least of all – 108-178 Lux at a rate of 300 Lux
According to 78% of the surveyed students, the most convenient audience in terms of illumination level is the Central Library, where the conditions for writing notes are the best (Fig. 1).
64% of the surveyed students believe that the eyes are least stressed in the CMA (Fig. 2).
The respondents noted how poor lighting affects health and performance. The most frequent responses were:
1) deterioration of vision and performance,
2) reducing the amount of perceived information,
3) the appearance of headaches,
4) increased drowsiness,
5) accumulation of fatigue of the nervous system,
6) decreased concentration of attention.
In addition, the students answered questions related to the hygienic assessment of the lighting conditions of the room. 80% of the respondents answered the question correctly about the wavelength of the visible part of the spectrum. 96% of the respondents know that a luxmeter is used for illumination. 86% of respondents believe that illumination is measured in lux. 74% of the respondents know that the principle of operation of the luxmeter is based on the use of photoelectric effect phenomena.
The work carried out helped to analyze the illumination of lecture halls of the Burdenko State State Medical University; identify the audience that best meets the requirements; propose measures to optimize illumination.
Conclusion. According to the students of the medical university, the best audience in terms of illumination is the CMA, and the worst is 501, since it has the highest level of illumination. However, excessive lighting leads to increased fatigue, headaches and decreased performance.
The following measures can be taken to optimize lighting in classrooms:
1. Install brighter and more efficient lighting sources such as LED lamps or fluorescent lights. They consume less energy and provide brighter lighting. The brightness should be sufficient to ensure good visibility and prevent eye fatigue.
2. Place the light sources evenly throughout the room to avoid shadows and flickering of light. Uniform lighting will help improve visibility and reduce eye fatigue. The absence of flickering light is also an important parameter to avoid a negative impact on students' eyesight and general well-being.
3. Use the color temperature of the light. Cooler light (white or blue tint) can help boost alertness and concentration, while warmer light (yellow tint) can create a more relaxed atmosphere. The color temperature should correspond to natural light in order to create a comfortable atmosphere and maintain the circadian rhythm of the body.
4. Clean fixtures and windows regularly to make the most of the available light. Dust and dirt can reduce the effectiveness of lighting.
Improving the lighting in lecture halls can significantly increase the comfort and effectiveness of learning. It is also recommended to consult with lighting professionals for more accurate recommendations, taking into account the specific conditions of the audience
