Zvyagin Alexander Alekseevich.
Being a doctor is not just a profession, but a vocation. For such a profession, one education is not enough, you also need the inner qualities of a person. Today we would like to tell you about an outstanding professor, our contemporary, countryman and teacher, gastroenterologist - Alexander Alekseevich Zvyagin. Alexander Alekseevich was born into a family of ordinary employees. My father was the deputy head of the commissioning construction department, and my mother worked in an organization that supplied the city with vegetables and fruits. There were no doctors in the family. The family of Alexander Alekseevich had 2 children, he and his sister, who followed in her parents' footsteps and entered the University of Civil Engineering. Alexander Alekseevich came to medicine by pure chance. And who, at that time, knew that our Alexander Alekseevich would become a professor and such a wonderful doctor. He entered the Voronezh State Medical Institute. N.N. Burdenko at the pediatric faculty. He was a responsible student, he showed himself well during his studies. Alexander Alekseevich was interested in scientific societies and various circles. He was engaged in a circle on anatomy, histology. He was the headman of the circle of propaedeutics of childhood diseases. Then he began to attend a circle at the Department of Pediatric Pediatrics, which was headed by Professor, pulmonologist V.A. Platonov. For his first student scientific work, Alexander Alekseevich chose a very interesting topic: "The state of pancreatic secretion in children with cholepathies." He himself determined the content of pancreatic enzymes in the duodenal contents in the laboratory of the hospital. With this work, Alexander Alekseevich spoke not only in the Student Scientific Society, but also at a conference at the Lviv Medical Institute in 1988. The topic of the second student work was an equally interesting study "The state of gastric secretion in children with bronchial asthma." In 1989 he graduated with honors from the institute. Then he entered the residency and being a resident, he helped the teachers in the classroom. It was here that his story as a teacher began. Since 1994, Alexander Alekseevich worked as an assistant at the Department of Faculty Pediatrics. Since 2001, he has been an assistant professor in the same department. And since 2011 he has been a professor. After the transformation of pediatric departments in 2011, he worked at the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases and Pediatrics, in 2017 - the Department of Hospital and Polyclinic Pediatrics, and in 2021 - the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases and Polyclinic Pediatrics. Candidate's thesis "Rehabilitation of children with bronchial asthma against the background of gastroesophageal reflux" was carried out under the guidance of Professor V.A. Platonova. Alexander Alekseevich successfully defended it in 1994 at the VSMA. N.N. Burdenko. And already a doctoral thesis "Functional dyspepsia and chronic gastritis in children: optimization of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation" was defended in 2006 at the Research Institute of Pediatrics of the Scientific Center for Children's Health of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. Professor Zvyagin repeatedly spoke at Russian congresses and conferences, participated in the work of international congresses.
