Abstract

RELEVANCE. In our turbulent time, when there is more and more false information, it is necessary to know and honor the memory of great people - doctors. They are in difficult times for the country, saving the lives of many, risking their own. Various statements about our compatriot doctors are common in Internet resources, some of them are true, and some are full of hatred and anger, so it is important to talk, remember and write about these people, to convey to the “younger generation” of medical workers how important this topic is, to show by examples how to love not only your work, but also your Motherland, to cultivate patriotism in the hearts of medical students.

PURPOSE. An example of the life path of Glinka E.P. to convey to the younger generation of medical workers how important it is to love their work, the Motherland, to be merciful to the people around them.

MATERIALS AND METHODS. In the course of writing the article, information from Internet resources, scientific publications were used, reflecting the main milestones in the activities of Glinka E.P. To summarize the information, theoretical research methods were used, such as the synthesis and analysis of scientific and journalistic literature on a given topic.

RESULTS. The article reflected the main points in the life of Glinka E.P., and also showed that a paternalistic model of relationship is necessary and important in the work of a doctor between patient and doctor. For many people in her career, Glinka not only became a doctor, but a real savior, a “mother”. Perhaps this is the meaning of life - to become a worthy person who puts the needs of other people above his own. After all, if everyone had such character traits, then there would be no homeless people, wars, orphans in the world ...

CONCLUSION. The main principles of life for Dr. Lisa were mercy and the same conditions for providing medical care to everyone, regardless of gender and age, national and religious affiliation, as well as the class attitude of a person. The history of the life path teaches diligence, diligence and fortitude, because Glinka E.P. she saw everything from poverty to war, which tempered her character like steel. There is a sense of patriotism in her fate, because wherever “Doctor Liza” is located, she always thought about how to present such a new thing to the domestic healthcare system and how to improve the provision of medical care for the homeless, palliative patients [1]. The younger generation of students should honor the memory, learn from experience, qualities, such as mercy to the patient, respect for any person, and also, no matter how trite it may sound, love for the Motherland, their Fatherland.

The results of our own research: “We are never sure that we will return alive, because war is hell on earth, and I know what I'm talking about. But we are sure that kindness, compassion and mercy work stronger than any weapon” (Glinka E.P.).

Glinka Elizaveta Petrovna, as all people affectionately call her “Doctor Liza”, was born in the capital of our country, Moscow, in the family of a military engineer and nutritionist, TV presenter. Since childhood, Elizabeth has been interested in the profession of a doctor and even recalled with warmth in her heart how her dad made her own seal, like a doctor's, from "improvised" material - potatoes. After graduating from school, she decides to choose a difficult but less interesting profession for herself - a doctor. “Doctor Liza” enters the 2nd Moscow State Institute (RNIMU named after N.I. Pirogov), in 1986 she graduated from her Alma Mater as a qualified specialist - a pediatric resuscitator-anesthesiologist. [1]

In 1990, together with her husband and children, she left the USSR, choosing a country for life - the USA. In America, she also continues to improve her skills and knowledge, confirms a specialist diploma. In a foreign country for her, she was worried about the organization of hospices and the work of a palliative service. She wanted to apply the experience gained during this in her native country. After completing a course in palliative medicine, Elizaveta Petrovna decides to work as a volunteer in a hospice in order to personally experience the way palliative medicine works.[1]

Then, for a long time, Elizaveta Glinka did not return to her homeland, but kept in touch with the First Moscow Hospice when she lived in Kyiv. It was in Ukraine that her first palliative care institution was opened, laying down the principle “hospice is a place for life, not for living out.” Elizaveta Petrovna, when she was abroad, still supported the domestic palliative care, wanted to improve and modernize it. In 2007, due to an unpleasant coincidence, he returned to Russia to help and care for his sick mother. At the same time, she opens her Fair Aid Foundation. “Doctor Liza” buried her wards, homeless people, at her own expense, as many people before their death asked: “... bury me like a human being.” This characterizes Elizaveta Petrovna as a person with a big and kind heart, as well as merciful and pushing away class prejudices for people without a place to live.

For homeless people, she was, like a mother, very often organized free street “catering”, where people in need could eat for free, drink hot tea. For them, it was like a breath of fresh air, when for us in everyday life it seems so ordinary. [2]

“Doctor Liza” is known to us not only as the founder of many foundations that help the homeless, but also as an active participant in helping the peoples of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Syria. She checked on the territory of these territories the equipment of hospitals, hospitals, as well as the tools necessary for doctors. With the funds of her fund, she purchased a supply of medicines and equipment necessary for the affected population for a long time. [2]

Glinka E.P. organized the removal of children accompanied by their parents from the cities of Donetsk and Lugansk. The export was carried out only with the voluntary consent of legal representatives, and orphans were redirected to the care of the Ukrainian side. Subsequently, the children, under the direct supervision of Elizaveta Petrovna, were able to receive qualified and specialized medical care from local doctors, as well as the necessary rehabilitation and psychological support. [1]

With the beginning of terrorist actions in Syria, Elizaveta Petrovna made humanitarian visits on a regular basis, providing medical assistance to everyone, from young to old. She wanted to end 2016 by visiting Donbass and Syria, where she was very much expected. She was never sure that she would return from the war zone alive, because war is the worst thing that can be on earth. [1]

It all ended on one winter day ... On December 25, 2016, the life of a wonderful and worthy person, Glinka Elizaveta Petrovna, ended. Flight TU-154 took off for a humanitarian purpose from the Moscow region, was supposed to land at the Khmeimim airport, but after refueling in Adler was lost from the radar. [1, 2] For several days people prayed and hoped that there were survivors (including “Dr. Lisa”). But alas, the fact of the death of the doctor was confirmed by her husband, Gleb Glinka. With pain in our hearts, we ask ourselves the question: “Why do such bright, selfless, merciful people leave life?” Alas, no one can answer this question...

This year marks 7 years since the death of Elizaveta Petrovna, but to this day her foundation continues to help the homeless, the disabled, and people in need of palliative care. The memory of Dr. Lisa is alive and will live as long as we talk about her, write about her.

In 2020, a biographical film with a dramatic touch called “Doctor Liza” was shot, which reflects all aspects of the character and lifestyle of Elizaveta Petrovna. Everyone should watch this film, as it will be of interest to any person, not even from the medical field.

Conclusion. Summing up the above, I would like to note that the main principles of life for Dr. Liza were mercy and the same conditions for providing medical care to everyone, regardless of gender and age, nationality and religion, as well as the class attitude of a person. The history of the life path teaches diligence, diligence and fortitude, because Glinka E.P. she saw everything from poverty to war, which tempered her character like steel. A sense of patriotism is present in her fate, because wherever “Doctor Liza” is located, she always thought about how to present such a new thing to the domestic healthcare system and how to improve the provision of medical care for the homeless, palliative patients; while being abroad and adopting the experience of foreign colleagues. The younger generation of students should honor the memory, learn from experience, qualities, such as mercy to the patient, respect for any person, and also, no matter how trite it may sound, love for the Motherland, their Fatherland.
