Abstract
Purpose: To determine the dynamics of test parameters in two groups and to assess the effect of respiratory gymnastics on indicators Materials and methods: 40 students studying at the N.N. Burdenko State Medical University in the 1st year of the pediatric faculty were invited to conduct the study. Participants were divided into groups: control and experimental, twenty students each. The first measurements of indicators were made in October 2022. Repeated measurements were made in February 2023. To determine the functionality of the respiratory system, the first Stange test and the second Genchi test were carried out. The Stange test makes it possible to assess the body's resistance to oxygen deficiency [1]. According to the Genchi sample, it can be assumed that the body is sensitive to oxygen and trained [2]. Results: After the study on the functional assessment of the respiratory system in the control group, the indicators in the participants worsened or remained the same, in the experimental group, most of the indicators improved. This indicates the effectiveness of breathing exercises. After the survey of the participants, it turned out that the set of exercises had a positive effect on both general well-being and their general physical qualities and workability. Conclusion: Based on this study, it can be concluded that the performance of respiratory exercises has a positive effect on the activity of the respiratory system. A number of limitations identified did not affect the result of the study. The results give reason to argue that breathing exercises and sports can increase students' resistance to stress factors, as well as to improve their emotional, psychological and physical state.
