Relevance: The value of the traditions of Orthodoxy is that they allowed to keep "a healthy mind in a healthy body."In our difficult times, it is not only the maintenance of health, purity of soul and body, but also the fight against addictions, which have become the main problem of our society. For any Orthodox Christian, the main goal is the salvation of the soul. And good health (if you don't make it the main concern of your whole life) can help a lot in this matter. It is easier for a physically strong and hardy person to stand at long services, it is easier to make bows and prayer rules. A healthy person can afford to spend a lot of effort to help others, his activity can be used for missionary and educational activities.Health in the Christian, especially in the Orthodox faith, implies a healthy body and soul, which can be such only if a sufficiently restrained, ascetic lifestyle, virtuous intentions and actions, vital values, spiritual repentance, physical labor, striving for spiritual self-improvement, a reasonable diet, which is impossible without observing fasting.Goal:To determine the level of health among students of the theological seminary Materials and methods:On the basis of the Voronezh Theological Seminary, a sociological study was conducted among students. 69 people took part in the survey, of which:- men – 47.8%; - women – 52.2% (fig.1). The age of the respondents surveyed is 18 – 29 years, of which:- 18 years – 9 people (13%);- 19 years – 15 people (21.7%);- 20 years – 15 people (21.7%);- 21 years -12 people (17.4%); - 22 years – 5 people (7.2%);- 23 years – 5 people (7.2%);- 24 – 29 years – 8 people . (11,6 %)The seminarian students were asked questions about a healthy lifestyle. The total answer to the questions is as follows:Students consider faith in One God to be the most valuable in life (91.3%). For many respondents (78.3%), the main value of life is the well–being of loved ones, which indicates the traditional value of the family in Christianity and the predominance of such Orthodox virtues as love, compassion and mercy. The core of the most important values, according to students, looks like this:- faith (91.3%); - family (well-being of loved ones) (78.3%);- health as the main value (36.2%)Healthy food (lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, cereals, nuts, fish, lean meat, restriction salt and fat, etc.) (79.7%), according to respondents, is the most important condition for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.Healthy lifestyle, according to respondents:- lead (53.6%);- not sure (36.2%);- do not lead (10.2%)The question concerning the state of health of students revealed: Patients with chronic diseases – 17.4% of students. The question of maintaining a healthy diet and regime showed that 10.1% of respondents do not adhere to a healthy diet and diet.An Orthodox person who observes fasts eventually gets used to limiting himself in food and it will be much easier for him to deny himself something forbidden.Animal food is necessary for humans as a source of essential nutrients, however, its excess is just as harmful as the lack. The temporary restriction of such food cleanses the body, helps to fight excess weight. From a spiritual point of view, fasting is a necessary tool for spiritual growth and struggle with passions. The question about the presence of harmful products in the diet (sausages, confectionery, mayonnaise, semi-finished products, etc.) showed: unfortunately, only 3% of respondents do not have harmful products in the diet.Participation in divine services, attending classes and preparing for them, carrying out obediences are the main content of the learning process in the Theological School. Proper daily routine contributes to:- maintenance of healthy functioning of the body; - normalization of the psycho-emotional state;- harmonious development of personality; - punctuality education; - high self-discipline and organization, both in work and during rest; - significant reduction of fatigue;-increase of labor efficiency. 47.8% of students try to follow the daily routine. The question "Do you do physical education?" 20.3% of students answered that they do not.In the life hierarchy of a Christian, God should always be in the first place, therefore, if there is a choice where to go — to the temple or to training — a Christian will always choose the temple. But at the same time, no one forbids him to arrange the schedule of classes so that they do not fall at the same time with church services.Another huge plus of doing sports is training patience and willpower. Just as it is impossible to achieve the results of physical exercises without effort, so it is impossible to achieve anything in spiritual life without patience and perseverance. And these qualities of personality can not be better nurtured by regular training. The system of a healthy lifestyle not only does not contradict the Orthodox canons, but even helps to fulfill them. The main consequences of adherence to bad habits, according to respondents, are:- a crime against oneself (66.7%); - a threat to offspring (62.3%);- a threat to society (37.7%)In their opinion, only 15.9% of students are not subject to stress. The rest (84.1%) experience stress – constantly or from time to time.According to numerous experts, currently a significant part of the population suffers from mental disorders caused by acute or chronic psychological stress. It acquires epidemic proportions and represents the main social problem of modern society. The harmful effects of stress consist of two components:- pressure of external circumstances or people; - perception of what is happening. The most important thing in the fight against stress, according to respondents (76.9%), is an appeal to God (prayer)To the question "How do you assess the disease and health problems?" the answer option was chosen:- "trial" was chosen by 39.1%; - "inevitability" - 8.7%; - "punishment" 18.8%.This is a very expected statistic, since illness from the Orthodox position is a means of correcting a sinful life and a direction to the true path. – to salvation and virtue. The desire to dedicate your life to God, to serve him sincerely, to try to help people come to Christ – This is the main reason for turning to God, according to the respondents, since 62.3% of respondents chose this answer option. Thus, for many pupils, turning to God may sometimes be the last hope for reassurance and help from outside. The life-meaning orientations of students of theological schools have a high level of general meaningfulness of life, coordinated goals and values, a responsible attitude to life, the predominance of moral and spiritual orientations and are strengthened during training. Results:Healthy lifestyle out of 100% of respondents:- lead (53.6%);- not sure (36.2%);- do not lead (10.2%).17.4% of students have chronic diseases.10.1% of respondents do not adhere to a healthy diet and diet.97% of students have harmful foods in their diet.20.3% of respondents are not engaged in physical education or sports. Experience stress constantly or from time to time - 84.1%.Discussion:According to the results of a sociological survey, it can be concluded that the risk factors for the occurrence of CNID in students of the Voronezh Theological Seminary are: stress, poor nutrition, low physical activity. Conclusion:Based on the data obtained as a result of the survey, recommendations are proposed:- regular physical exercises that help restore and strengthen health, adapt the body to environmental conditions;- conducting active sanitary and educational work on the formation of a healthy lifestyle, motivation for proper nutrition. Four methods are also recommended to resist stress:- strengthening the general state of health through proper nutrition, proper rest, sports, etc.;- change of the situation, i.e. elimination of what causes concern, as far as possible;- change of attitude to the situation;- be able to relax and not stay in the usual stress tension. Students of theological seminaries constantly observe a special way of life, which involves fasting, emotional balance, positive life aspirations, rejection of bad habits, etc. The Orthodox Church blesses a healthy lifestyle, meaning by this not only proper nutrition, sufficient physical activity, absence of bad habits and hardening, but also spiritual and moral well—being."A healthy lifestyle is the norm for the Orthodox tradition, because a believer is aware that his body is the temple of God, in which the Holy Spirit lives."A healthy lifestyle is a person's life position, behavior or activity aimed at strengthening their health.
