Relevance: At the moment, the problem of an active lifestyle is very common, especially for students of various higher educational institutions. The vast majority of students lead an inactive lifestyle, which adversely affects their condition. Low physical activity is often due to a large load at school and at home. Sports and even minimal physical activity help to avoid the risk of chronic non-communicable diseases and improve health. Purpose: To assess the level of physical activity among students of VSMU. N.N. Burdenko, to identify the reasons for the low interest in sports and to identify possible solutions to physical inactivity among students. Materials and methods: N.N. Burdenko" an anonymous survey of students of the Medical University was conducted. The questionnaire in the Yandex-form format consisted of 18 questions and two blocks. The first - includes general questions (gender and age), the second - questions related to movement as one of the health factors (lifestyle, daily stress, reasons for lack of physical activity, daily routine, weight, car availability, assessment of physical condition, outdoor activities) . The method for recording the main and additional outcomes is the calculation of the frequency of occurrence of each studied indicator. Statistical processing of the obtained data was carried out in Microsoft Excel 2007. Quantitative data are presented as a percentage. Results: 109 people from 17 to 28 years old took part in the anonymous survey, of which 23.9% were men and 76.1% were women. The age of the respondents was: 17 years old (0.9%), 18 years old (5.5%), 20 years old (5.5%), 21 years old (31.2%), 22 years old (46.8%), 23 years old (7.3%), 25-28 years old (2.7%). 92.7% of respondents agree with the expression “movement is life”, 51.4% of students lead an active lifestyle. Respondents do not go in for sports due to a large workload at school and at home (68.5%), unwillingness to force themselves (43.5%), lack of free time (41.3%). 42.2% of students try to follow the daily routine, 6.4% of respondents do exercises every day , and rarely (36.7%), prefer to climb stairs (47.7%), travel by car - 11%. Students currently assess their physical condition as poor (3.7%), worse than average (15, 6%), average (48.6%), sufficient very good (24.8%) and very good (7.3%). Overweight, according to respondents, are 18.3%. In their free time they walk less than 30 minutes a day - 12.8% On weekends, 36.7% of students read and watch TV, spend a lot of time on the Internet. 33.9% of students almost never have intensive physical activity. The majority of respondents prefer to relax at home (76.1%). The most common types of outdoor activities among the respondents are: winter sports (skiing, skating, sledding, etc.) (56.9%); field trips, badminton, swimming (52%); yoga, dancing, fitness (44.1%); gym (43.1%). Based on the survey, the main goals of physical education and sports among students are as follows: health promotion, disease prevention (69.2%); good mood and well-being (66.3%); the desire to have a beautiful physique, figure (67.3%). Discussion: Based on the results of the survey, the following average values of the main indicators were calculated and obtained. About half (48.6%) of students lead an inactive lifestyle, the majority of students (57.8%) do not follow the daily routine, they assess their physical condition as average (48.6%). As a result of collecting statistical data, we can conclude that that in most cases VSMU students neglect an active lifestyle. Lack of physical activity is detrimental to a person's health. Among its consequences are obesity, hypertension, osteochondrosis, sciatica, problems with the cardiovascular system. To avoid this, it is necessary to introduce various sports into your life - winter, summer, do exercises, choose walking, reduce the time spent at home. The limitation of the study is related to the format of the study. The use of questionnaires reduces the reliability and quality of the information received. This is due to several factors: the likelihood of receiving false information from the respondents, the disinterest of the respondents and the lack of observation of students' reactions. Conclusion: Thus, many students neglect an active lifestyle, walk a little, prefer to rest at home, do not exercise. This tactic is not entirely correct, since an inactive lifestyle can lead to various diseases. The conducted research and the data obtained can help to study this problem in more detail and understand how to draw the attention of students to their health and to an active lifestyle.
