CHARACTERISTICS OF BIOELECTRIC PARAMETERS OF CHEWING AND SUPRALINGUAL MUSCLES PROPER IN CHILDREN WITH PHYSIOLOGICAL AND DISTAL OCCLUSION

Kosolapova I.V., Dorokhov E.V., Kovalenko M.E., Ippolitov Y.A.

Abstract

Evaluation of functional state of chewing muscle in children is of theoretical and practical interest for prevention of deformations of dentoalveolar system, planning of treatment terms and prediction of its results. The bioelectric parameters of the chewing and supralingual muscles themselves were evaluated in 64 patients of the Children's Clinical Dental Clinic No. 2 in Voronezh aged 6 to 12 years with physiological and distal occlusion of the dentition that had not previously received orthodontic correction. In patients with distal occlusion, an increase in the average amplitude of bioelectric activity of the temporal and supralingual muscles was detected, which may be associated with a compensatory reaction of the jawbone system to a decrease in the area of the functional occlusive field. In children with physiological and distal occlusion, a violation of the ratio of chewing time to resting time was found, which is a sign of a violation of the coordinated work of the studied muscle group and requires further dynamic observation.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE TOOTH POST-EXTRACTION HEALING ACCORDING TO THE CLINICAL STUDIES

Moiseeva N.S.

Abstract

There are various inflammatory complications, which may occur after dental surgery, but the most common is alveolitis. Preventing the development and improving the effectiveness of the inflammatory complications treatment after dental surgery procedures are main priorities of current dentistry, which will reduce the incidence rate, as well as the rehabilitation time. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the “Alvanes-sponge” alveolar compress with chlorhexidine and metronidazole for the prevention of inflammatory complications after dental surgery procedures. When using the “Alvanes-sponge” alveolar compress with chlorhexidine and metronidazole, there is an increase in the efficiency of wound healing, the blood clot formation, pain relief, and the absence of relapse was observed. Clinical studies of the “Alvanes-sponge” with chlorhexidine and metronidazole use proved that this compress, having hemostatic and antimicrobial properties, stating the high chemical activity, promotes the reparative processes activation, which optimize the timing of wound healing, and hence the timing of patients rehabilitation.

EFFECT OF THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER ON PROSTHETIC BED TISSUES OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS AND PARTIAL TOOTH LOSS

Polushkina N.A., Vecherkina Z.V., Chirkova N.V.

Abstract

The most common structural material in removable prosthetics is acrylic plastic. However, it has a number of drawbacks. Residual monomer, which increases in volume up to 8% in case of polymerization disturbance, which causes allergic reactions of local and general nature. The microporosity and low strength of acrylic plastics reduce the effectiveness of their clinical application. In a clinical study, which included four groups of patients with partial absence of dental diabetes mellitus, the number of 15 people who installed prostheses from various meterials was established as follows. When using a thermoplastic polymer for the manufacture of patients with removable prostheses, the total area of 8% inflammation of the mucous membrane of the prosthetic bed is significantly reduced in comparison with removable prostheses made of acrylic plastic "Fluorax" and CKS, which makes it possible to recommend this material for patients with partial absence of teeth against the background of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The use of a complex treatment using a bio-soluble adhesive film in combination with a calcium-containing vitamin-mineral complex preparation made it possible to reduce the area of gum inflammation during adaptation to removable prostheses. Assessment of the dynamics of overload zones in the early stages of adaptation to removable prostheses allows timely and effective elimination of the traumatic factor of the basis of the removable prosthesis.

Vecherkina Z.V., Morozov A.N., Chirkova N.V., Kalinichenko V.S.

Abstract

Today, lithium-disilicate ceramics are successfully used in orthopedic dentistry as the main material for the manufacture of almost all types of restorations. Permanent structures of dentures from it can be made by wax modeling with a further pressing method or by milling - CAD/CAM technology. Goal: to study the key principles of working with lithium-disilicate ceramics in the practical training of students in the specialty "orthopedic dentistry" and to determine the feasibility of use in the manufacture of permanent dentures. Clinical and laboratory stages of manufacturing a single crown are studied, main technical aspects in manufacturing orthopedic structures are determined on the example of manufacturing a single ceramic crown for a tooth 46. We identified the advantages of the material, the main of which are its strength and aesthetic indicators. The negative point is the high cost of the structure made from it. Conclusion: dental ceramic materials must meet a number of modern requirements for them, and the analysis of the study showed their proper compliance with disilicate-based ceramics with a wide range of applications, while proving their promise

COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF DIFFERENT REGISTRATION METHODS CENTRAL JAW RELATION WITH USING THE FRONTAL DEPROGRAMMATION APPLIENCES IN PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY (LUTERATURE REVIEW)

Privalova A.V., Leshcheva E.A.

Abstract

The article presents the literature review devoted to the issues of various centric jaw relation methods for registration of occlusion. One of the most difficult manipulations in prosthetic dentistry is to determine the correct position of the lower jaw. For this reason, there is so much disagreement among clinical researchers on this issue. Until recently, the main opinion was that the relative position of the temporomandibular joint head in the fossa is invariable and constant. The conception of jaw central relation was produced to determine the position of the lower jaw, which could be reproduced in articulation systems. Special attention should be paid treatment methods associated with a change in the habitual occlusion of patients. In this article we have considered the advantages and disadvantages of existing techniques which deserve the attention of dentists.

ORAL MICROBIOME: ASSOCIATION WITH SYSTEMIC DISEASES

Azarova O.A., Sevastenkova M.S.

Abstract

Several oral bacteries spreading through the body have been associated with a number of systemic diseases. They can have a big impact on the health of the gastrointestinal tract as well. Studies in both animals and humans show that certain bacteries can interfere with the gut microbiota, causing dysbiosis. A large number of oral bacteria species can reach the gut microbiota through ingestion, regardless of the periodontal condition, but only a fraction of these bacteria are able to colonize the gut. Severe diseases and genetic predisposition of the host can contribute to ectopic colonization by oral bacteria.

APPLICATION OF MODULATED RED LIGHT AFTER DENTAL REPLANTATION

Kunin V.A., Azizov K.S., Tsapina A.A., Gerez M.V., Donov A.N., Gerez V.S.

Abstract

Justifiably important attention in modern dentistry is paid to tooth-preserving operations, among which a certain place is occupied by the operation of dental replantation. After it is carried out, it is necessary to diagnose the reaction of an acute inflammatory response from periodontal tissues in the early stages of development. To achieve an increase in the quality level of the performed manipulation, it is necessary to carry out a rational correction of the inflammatory process. This reduces the likelihood of complications, including rejection of the replanted tooth.

Rudakova L.V., Rudakov O.B.

Abstract

A brief overview of publications in which the prospects for the use of biologically active additives from edible insects in food products in Russia are discussed is presented. It is shown that edible insects are used in various countries of the world as food additives and raw materials for dietary protein. So, it is known that the inhabitants of Asia and Africa currently eat about 2000 species of edible insects. Insects have a high protein content (40-75 g per 100 g of dry weight), which is perfectly absorbed (77-98%). Considering that by 2050, according to demographic forecasts, up to 9 billion people will live on Earth, the use of insects as biologically active additives in food products is one of the most promising directions in food biotechnology to meet the needs of the growing population of the planet and minimize the problem of hunger of the Earth's population.
