Pregnancy - the period during which due to changes in lifestyle, psychosocial, and hormonal changes may be more frequent mental disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, episodes of personal and psychosocial crisis conditions worsen existing severe mental illness. The use of psychotropic drugs during pregnancy are discussed from the beginning of their use in psychiatry and become less relevant. Early detection of pregnancy makes it possible to provide individual assistance in the form of therapy and training to adapt to motherhood, so as to prevent any possible harm to the mother and child. After ensuring an adequate level of knowledge and through education on the use of antipsychotic drugs during pregnancy weighed carefully "for" and "cons" of pharmacotherapy.

Data of psychological testing and local psychiatric services quality checking, referring to conscripts, were analyzed. Some problems obstructing diagnostics of personality disorders in conscripts described.

In the article the questions of organization of the curatively-protective mode in psychiatric clinic in the context of the modern going near treatment and rehabilitation mentally sick are illuminated.

The results of the study on electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)’s image in representations of mentally ill, their relatives, doctors and nurses are presented. Psychiatrists’ and nurses’ awareness in this method of treatment is not sufficient, patients’ awareness is low, their estimations are contradictory. The main sources of information on ECT are revealed ̶ media, films, for psychiatrists - professional literature and personal experience. Ways of improving the image of ECT are suggested.
