Despite the diversity of modern diagnostic capabilities, identification of the causative agent of vaginal disease is rather difficult, therefore the treatment is often prescribed symptomatically. The article is devoted to the possibility of using the indicator of bromthymol blue for the early diagnosis of disorders of the vaginal biocenosis in order to optimize the selection of pharmacotherapy. Various methods for preparing solution indicators are discussed and a method for preparing a solution for application to a sanitary pad for dynamic control of the pH of vaginal secretions is proposed. Bromthymol blue is a generally suitable indicator for dynamic control of changes in the pH of vaginal secretions, since the indicator is highly sensitive to pH&gt; 6 and sufficiently sensitive in the pH range from 4 to 5.
