In this situation, the most technologically advanced and efficient techniques - ultrasonic scaling for eliminating the main etiological factor of periodontitis - plaque and calculus, - as well as the Vector Fluid polishing device for rehabilitation of periodontal pockets and minimally invasive root resection with hydroxylapatite, are becoming more widespread. In this study, a natural antiseptic - medical ozone - was used as a treatment option for gum recovery instead of conventional antibacterial agents. The study included 93 patients with chronic generalized periodontitis of moderate severity. The results of clinical, laboratory and radiological investigations supported the fact that ultrasound polishing of tooth roots using hydroxylapatite included in the complex therapy with a Vector Fluid polish together with simultaneous antiseptic treatment of periodontal pockets using ozonated water appears to be an effective method of treatment and prevention of periodontitis compared with the conventional approach involving administration of antimicrobial agents.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Inflammatory periodontal diseases</kwd><kwd>Vector Fluid polish device</kwd><kwd>ultrasonic polishing</kwd><kwd>ozonated water</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>воспалительные заболевания пародонта</kwd><kwd>аппарат «Вектор»</kwd><kwd>ультразвуковая шлифовка</kwd><kwd>озонированная вода</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Пародонтология: национальное руководство/ под ред.
