THE NEUROHUMORAL ASPECTS OF CHRONIC HEART FAILURE TREATMENT IN ELDERLY PATIENTS

Abstract

The article presents the results of testing a clinical effectiveness of a complex therapy of chronic heart failure (CHF) on the early stages among the aged with the use of spironolactone and magnesium-contained drugs. The therapy described leads to considerable decrease of CHF functional class, the level of aldosterone, brain and atrial natriuretic peptides, endothelin-1, hospitalization frequency and appliance to the doctor's aid. The study carried out shows improvement of life quality indicators among the aged in comparison with those, who applied a standardized therapy, the researches hold.
