CORRELATION BETWEEN IMMUNE STATUS INDICES IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Lutsky M.A., Lushnikova Y.P., Smelyanets M.A.

Abstract

The article gives an analysis of a number of parameters indicating that there cannot be any isolated disorders in a human organism. Immune system ab-normalities are closely related to nervous and endocrine regulations of func-tions. Immunopathology, in its turn, is associated with metabolic disorders, which finally lead to additional complications. There exists a real capacity in a patient’s organism to influence the immune status by means of biochemical pa-rameters and vice versa. All these aspects are analyzed in the given article.

ANALYSIS OF PROTEIN AND LIPID FREE-RADICAL OXIDATION PROCESSES IDENTIFYING OXIDATIVE STRESS IN DIFFERENT CLINICAL FORMS OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Lutsky M.A., Razinkin K.A., Lushnikova Y.P., Smelyanets M.A.

Abstract

The article gives a detailed analysis of protein and lipid free-radical oxidation processes identifying oxidative stress in Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) and Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS). The findings obtained in the course of the study make it possible to verify the presence of two factors in the oxidative stress development, namely: the intensification of free-radical oxidation (FRO) processes and the functional imbalance in the enzymatic and nonenzymatic segments of the antioxidant defense system (ADS) in PPMS and SPMS. The understanding of the complex pathogenesis of Multiple Sclerosis guarantees an effective and potentially productive therapy for such a severe disease of the nervous system.

METHOD OF MODELING OF CHRONIC OSTEOMYELITIS

Mikulich E.V., Glukhov A.A., Ostroushko A.P.

Abstract

Currently, many methods for modeling chronic osteomyelitis are known. All of them can be divided into four groups: the first group - hematogenous infection of the animal, the second group - additional bone irritation and introduction of the microbial flora into the organism, the third - the introduction of microbial flora against the background of sensitization of the organism and the fourth - the combination of infection of the organism with additional irritation of the nervous system. In this study, an experimental model of chronic osteomyelitis has been developed that meets all modern requirements.

Lavlinskaya L.I., Malyutina M.A., Sitnikova L.N.

Abstract

The level of health of modern schoolchildren determines the high prevalence of diseases, disorders in neuropsychic and physical development, a significant acute incidence. A negative factor is the increasing prevalence of the most destructive behaviors: smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs, risk-related sexual behavior. One of the leading causes of progressive deterioration in health is the ineffectiveness of many preventive and corrective measures to preserve and strengthen the health of children.

PREDICTIONAL MODEL OF EVALUATION OF RISK OF COMPLICATIONS WITH MINYVASIVE SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS ON THE LIVER

Ninikashvili L.V.

Abstract

Therapeutic and diagnostic interventions on the liver under ultrasound control have recently become widespread. In Russia, at least 12,000 such operations are produced annually (Novomlinsky VV, 2008). Diagnostic interventions are represented mainly by percutaneous biopsy of focal formations, therapeutic ones by puncture-draining operations in liquid formations, and by minimally invasive methods of treatment of primary and metastatic liver cancer, including radio-frequency ablation, cryo-exposure and introduction of ethanol. The advantages of minimally invasive operations under ultrasound control are low traumatism, cosmetic effect, the possibility of performing them under local anesthesia and economy.
