PROBLEMS OF VACCINE PREVENTION IN VORONEZH AREA

Abstract

The aim of the work was a study of level of being informed and attitude toward realization of vaccine prevention among the population, including medical workers. The conducted questionnaire showed that 70.9% of respondents are considered the vaccination as the most effective method of prophylaxis of infections (р=0.04), however the level of their knowledge is insufficient. Taking into account circumstance that medical workers are the main information generators of a vaccination among the population (р<0.00001), it is necessary the questions of vaccine prevention include in the programs of courses of in-plant training of doctors and medical sisters, increase the explain work on forming of confidence attitude toward vaccines among the population.

COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN AND RURAL SCHOOL CHILDREN IN VORONEZH REGION

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the frequency of occurrence of different variants of the physical development of urban and rural schoolchildren in Voronezh region. 2003 children aged 6 to 18 years old were examined, residents of the city of Voronezh - 366 people (18,3%), different areas of Voronezh region - 1637 children (81,7%). We were found normal physical development in 46,8% girls and 41,2% boys in the city of Voronezh, in 47,9% girls and 43,9% boys in Voronezh region. Underweight were increased in girls in the city of Voronezh in comparison to Voronezh region (7,2% and 2,3%). Boys of the city with high height had more underweight and overweight in comparison to boys of different areas of Voronezh region.

TICK-BORNE INFECTIONS IN THE VORONEZH REGION

Abstract

Lyme borreliosis (being one of the typical tick-borne diseases) is a relatively new natural focal disease for the Voronezh region. The first cases of Lyme borreliosis were registered in 2001. Epidemiological data on the territory of the Voronezh region show an increase in the incidence of Lyme borreliosis. We analyzed 110 patients of Lyme borreliosis that were treated at the Voronezh regional clinical hospital. The diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis was verified serologically by detection of serum immunoglobulin class M in immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in all patients. In the Voronezh region Lyme borreliosis is registered in the form of acute manifest disease with skin erythema with rare and low intoxication, which was noted only in 10,9% of cases. Among the patients with Lyme borreliosis dominated patients in the age category older than 50 years (70,9%). Half of the patients were infected with Borrelia in urban areas (53,6%). In the Voronezh region Lyme borreliosis the most likely was seen in persons older than 50 years. All patients showed only acute manifest erythematous form of the disease with low toxicity.

Abstract

Currently, the innovative development of national health is impossible to imagine without complex combining traditional clinical methods and modern information and communication technologies. An important direction in the state of health of the Russian Federation is the widespread use of telemedicine systems and telemedicine. This study allows us to consider telemedicine as a socially significant and cost-effective tool in practical public health of the country. The article highlights the relevance of the questions telemedicine systems as the most important conditions for the provision of quality medical care in remote regions. The main challenges and opportunities for the application of telemedicine in medical practice.
