As an example of the first military campaign of the Russian Navy, when for the first time practically all the fleet put to the sea, the combativity questions in the aspect of personnel heath are expanded. Due to the fact that sea scurvy turned out to be the main reason of the incidence rate during the campaign, such a circumstance could lead to the mission failures. Therefore the command took a number of measures, oriented to the remediation of the situation. Health food actually became one of the main measures by means of which the Russian Navy Command tried to improve the arisen situation concerning the high incidence of warships personnel and to prevent campaign failure.
