We consider the motivational model of alcohol use Cox-Klinger. Discusses two major groups of motives: motives enhancement emotionally positive state and motives of coping negative emotional state. The correlation between addictive motives and reasons for abstinence (or refusal) of alcohol. We discuss the connection between the motives, the clinical characteristics of substance use, substance abuse stages of the disease and its consequences, Including adolescent.
