Currently, the innovative development of national health is impossible to imagine without complex combining traditional clinical methods and modern information and communication technologies. An important direction in the state of health of the Russian Federation is the widespread use of telemedicine systems and telemedicine. This study allows us to consider telemedicine as a socially significant and cost-effective tool in practical public health of the country. The article highlights the relevance of the questions telemedicine systems as the most important conditions for the provision of quality medical care in remote regions. The main challenges and opportunities for the application of telemedicine in medical practice. The article identifies ways of creating, implementing and monitoring the state of telemedicine systems, as well as the prospects for their use in Public Health.
