Burdenko Medical Academy1503201247334025042020Copyright © 2012, Научно-медицинский вестник Центрального Черноземья201278 elderly age patients (60-75 years old) with bronchial asthma (BA) II stage were examined, 40 elderly age patients had insomnia, 38 elderly age patients were without insomnia. 40 elderly age patients were divided into 2 groups, one of which has taken standard therapy and melatonin. The complex examination revealed negative influence of insomnia on the course of BA, the psychological state and quality of life of the elderly age patients. Because of using melatonin, there were the reliable positive dynamics of studied parameters in the 1-st group compared with the patients, have taken only standard therapy.
