The survey had made in fore stages: 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008. During each stage randomly selected 1200 adults were examined: 1000 adults as a general group and 200 ones as a control group. The assessment consisted of a General Health Questionnaire - 28 and clinical semistructured interview based upon the DSM-IV criteria. General indicators of distress according to the GHQ-28 showed a slowdown from 2002 - 86% to 2008 - 56,9 but still remained quite high comparable with the control group from the Chechen area where there were not any military actions - 43, 1%. Prevalence of traumatic events makes up 68% in the main group and 22% in the control group. PTSD prevalence was 31% in 2002 and it was much higher than in the control group (3,9%). During other periods of examination the frequencies of PTSD were comparable (about 4%) in the both groups, the main and the control. Frequency of PTSD strongly associated with frequency of traumatic events: those persons who had only one traumatic event have experienced PTSD in 34,4% of cases, two events - in 50,3% of cases, three and more events - in 78 % of cases.GHQ-28Чеченская республиканепсихотические психические расстройствачрезвычайная ситуацияПТСР
