CONCEIVABILITY AS PHILOSOPHICAL ARGUMENT, AND HIS EXPLANATORY POTENTIAL

Abstract

The article shows that the conceivability argument widely used in contemporary philosophy of mind and metaphysics, does not allow to make the final choice between competing theories, each of these is logically equal any other. This is because the conceivability argument is symmetric with respect to the terms that contradicted or confirmed using thought experiment. The author hypothesized that distinguishing logical and metaphysical possibilities may destroy this symmetry.

Abstract

The article attempts to examine the concept of "health" in the light of the phenomenological approach. The basis of such a review on the concept of "the Other", which is being actively developed in the framework of phenomenology. The "Other" can be represent in the life-world of the individual subject, by analogy with the body. The body is one of the poles of the identity of the individual in the social space. Analog apperception arises also by analogy with their inner world. The inner world in the same way as the physicality is the basis for the formation of a "first-sphere" individual subject of social interaction.

Abstract

The development of medicine is inextricably linked to General methodological philosophical problem of biological and social in man and in human health. The article is devoted to the study of the syndrome of functional dyspepsia from the standpoint of the philosophy of health and psychosomatic field of medicine. There are significant changes in the state of psychoemotional sphere, including personality characteristics predisposing to neurotic and stress response, clinically manifested affective disorders, the reduced number of positive emotions, pessimistic attitude about the future. The application of the psychosomatic approach for in-depth study of the etiology, pathogenesis, clinics and develop the most adequate treatment and rehabilitation programs in respect of diseases, the development of which a significant role is played by psycho-social factor, including the syndrome of functional dyspepsia, it seems promising.

Abstract

This article deals with the problems of terminological standards as a type of terminological control in medical terminology. The different processes of the formation of terms in professional vocabulary are considered. The definition of terminology standards is given. We describe the linguistic and extra linguistic factors affecting the standards of professional terminology (on the examples of the dental vocabulary). The following selected examples illustrate diachronic changes in dental lexicon «kryatnie, briacanie glagoliashee» (only old Russian examples are given). The article is illustrated by the examples of assimilation of the following English terms adhesive bonding, veneers, reamer, and file in the Russian professional language. Normative character of terms bridge, console has been defined.

Abstract

The paper looks into various problems of relationship between economics and ethics in the context of transformation of scholarly approaches to the issue in the course of history. It lays emphasis on the relating to modern life relationship of ethics and economics’ alternative estimates. The authors identify the major component of social and human life activities, responsible for national and spiritual specifics of the 21st century economy. Besides, it is stressed that the source of spiritual wealth is a man himself with his state of health, skill, experience and other virtues. The paper shows the need for a shift in the value system, motivated by objective changes in economic, social, spiritual, cultural and intellectual spheres aiming to ensure public interests. It is also noted that at the heart of acceptability or unacceptability estimates of any particular decisions relating to economic life is economic efficiency based on value components as well as social, moral, and ethical components, which are difficult to value in monetary terms.

The article discusses the level of adaptation possibilities of Arab and Turkmen students of the Department of preparatory programs at the beginning and at the end of the school year. The study was conducted by the method of Kirlian. Compared of the luminescence area and entropy first fingers of the right and left hands, as indicators of psychological adaptation to new conditions of living and studying in a foreign country. The result revealed a degree of tension as well as psychological and linguistic adaptation of students of different nationalities. Marked difficulties and their solutions when dealing with foreigners.

Abstract

The article is the continuation of the subject approached by the author during the Eleventh Trans-regional Academic Conference 08.04.2015. As an example of the first military campaign of the Russian Navy, when for the first time practically all the fleet put to the sea, the combativity questions in the aspect of personnel heath are expanded. Due to the fact that sea scurvy turned out to be the main reason of the incidence rate during the campaign, such a circumstance could lead to the mission failures. Therefore the command took a number of measures, oriented to the remediation of the situation. Health food actually became one of the main measures by means of which the Russian Navy Command tried to improve the arisen situation concerning the high incidence of warships personnel and to prevent campaign failure. In the article the issues of health food emerged in medical practice by the middle of the eighteenth century are thoroughly analyzed.

ABOUT THE CONTROL OF CHOLERA EPIDEMIC IN PROVINCEOF VORONEZH IN SUMMER 1918

Abstract

The article is devoted to the events taken place in summer 1918, the time when there was a dangerous military and medical situation in Province of Voronezh. In the Southern regions there were fights against German and Haydamak troops. In the east and south there came troops of Krasnov’s white Cossacks. In June cholera epidemic was found in the province. The circumstances of the wartime contributed to expansion of the epidemic. Мedical forces of the province were mobilized for rescue of the population and elimination of the epidemic. The role of sanitary inspectors and medical attendants who ventured their lives was really great. In difficult conditions they tried to achieve the abolition of epidemic.

Тhe Article is devoted to the history of the study of the disease of hunger - alimentary - toxic aleikia or "septic sore throat". In the early 1930-s, and in the years of the great Patriotic war, in 1946-1947 the population of the USSR was starving. Food was often used grain last year. As it turned out, this led to a terrible disease - "septic sore throat". What caused the disease with so many deaths remained a mystery for physicians. Scientists of the Voronezh medical Institute in 1942 - 1944, evacuated to Ulyanovsk studied the disease that tried to uncover its causes and ways to combat it.

Abstract

Population health and the preservation of the gene pool depend on safety of food raw materials and food products. In recent years, residents of many developed countries are concerned about the possible risks of using so-called "transgenic" products, which leads to lower immunity in humans. Human health largely depends on the intake of food with various harmful substances of technogenic origin. They include pesticides, mycotoxins, toxic elements, antibiotics, nitrates, nitrosamine, hormones, histamine, etc. All these substances negatively affects the human body. Remains actual and a problem of remote consequences of influence of Chernobyl disaster on human health. Radioactive isotopes (strontium, cesium) enter the body with food of plant and animal origin and accumulate in various organs. In the human body are the centers of constant exposure that can lead to development of radiation sickness to various forms of its manifestation.

Abstract

Diabetes is a serious challenge to mankind in the XXI century. According to the World Health Organization, this disease is on the third place among the main causes of death along with cardiovascular pathology and oncological diseases. Diabetes is followed by development of complications resulting in loss of vision, chronic renal disease, myocardial infraction and stroke, amputation of extremities, and, in general, in decrease of length and quality of life. Complications are the factor defining medical, social and economic importance of this disease. At last, diabetes and its complications are serious economic burden for society, because annually both in the world, and in our country enormous money is spent on the treatment of this disorder. Thus, diabetes is both a serious medical problem, and a socially significant problem in the modern world.

So far, the considering changes in the structure of teaching massage in the institutes of higher education have matured, and they are the crucial moment of the qualitative improvement of teaching methods of the discipline. The question raised in the article let us come to the problem of preparing reserve staff and bring the crucial changes into the existing stereotype about teaching massage in our country.
